Visa U.S.A. and the Better Business Bureau's BBBOnLine Reliability Program have joined forces to address consumer concerns regarding the safety of online commerce and develop programs to make e-commerce more secure and consumer-friendly. The first program undertaken by this partnership is to jointly promote the online efforts each organization brings to the partnership, including the Visa Secure Commerce Program, the BBB Code of Online Business Practices, and the BBBOnLine Reliability Program. Future programs are in development to address areas of vital importance, including dispute resolution, raising awareness of safe shopping habits, and identifying ways for merchants to adopt online industry "best practices" in risk management.
